A volcada can also be artfully led from a back ocho; even combined with a hesitation / continuation.
@@maleccnurse1 i can’t quite visualize the volcada you’re talking about. You’re right it can be led from different places. Would you happen to know of a video that shows the volcada in the manner you’re talking about?
@@Jairelbhi Sorry; no. But back in the day it was a signature move for me.
the simplist version: leading the follow into a "slightly' hi boleo from a back ocho, she is drawn into the volcada and returned.
@@JairelbhiCheck out Tangology 101 basic volcada demo (looks like tiktok to me). Looks like an incomplete lady left foot back ocho swung back into a volcada.
Nice variations - thanks! What is for you the difference between "sandwich" and "mordida"? Normally they are used as synonyms and then "Sandwich into mordida" (at 2:00) wouldn't make sense.
Son fabulosos Profes ....
Love these tips!!! We will be trying very soon 💃🏻🕺🏽 could you tell me the name of the song you danced to at the end, 🙏🏻
Excellent!!Let us know what or worked or didnt' work. The song is "Angela" by Tango Spleen Orquesta
Thank you very much. I do a variation called milonguero dip from lady back ochos. Now a leader molinete as well. Awesome.
That's great. Is there a video anywhere that shows the "milonguero dip". I'm interested to see what movement that is..thanks.😀
@@Jairelbhi many years ago I had watched Clint Rauscher and Shelley Brooks demo-ed on UA-cam what a I remember as "milonguero dip". They have recently reuploaded it as "giro with tango dip" on Tangology 101.
Splendid
Thanks😀😀🙏
Great breakdown! Thank you! 🙏
Thank you!!! Let us know if anything helped or maybe something that didn't work for you😀😀
Thank you very much for this video. Very helpful.
That's great to hear!!!😀😀😀
Impecable!
Thank you😀😀🙏🙏
Very helpful - thanks!
Nice to hear😀😀. Glad it helps.

Thank you for the compliment and definately for the suggestion for colgadas. We'll work on it and post it😀😀
Thank you so much for this tutorial, I always want it to learn volcadas 😊
Thanks and hopefully this video helps you!!!😀😀

Excelente, muy claro!
Muchas Gracias😀😀😀
Circular walk. Absolutely will become part of my repertoire. Alone or pre for the sandwich. Thank you so much.
Great!!😀

Grazie! 👏💖😘

This is the essence of Argentine tango lead and follow. The way I inderstand it. The lead and follow, the creativity, freestyling, no need for the follower to remember choreography etc etc is based on communication with the follower which foot is free to move. The walking pattern in the video is not something I have to memorized as a leader or my wife has to memorize. I can create my own walking pattern but certainly the pattern in the video is an excellent idea worth a serious look. Thank you very much, you guys are my favorite tango resource on UA-cam.
This walking pattern is something we usually show beginners just to get them moving. Most of the time they don't think of it as a pattern, just a way to move. That's why we like it. It so easy to go into any other movement. And Thanks for the kind words. 😀😀😀😀
@@Jairelbhi Just simple and understandable 100 percent. You're very good teachers. Thanks a lot for the uploading of your classes. It helps us a lot especially for exercising with a partner. God bless you .
Very well explained.👍

Nice! George, can you tell me brand of the lavalier mics that y’all use?
I am not sure the specific model, but the mics are Shure. Just to let you know, the specific mics are not the reason you hear us clearly in the video. I have an audio recorder (Zoom H1n Handy Recorder) that I connect to the sound system (specifically to the mixer). Zoom recorder is what captures our voices. Afterwards I sync the audio and video together. If I didnt have the recorder it would have an echo and couldn't hear us very well.
You know what? I've been dancing Argentin tango for about 1 year and 3 months. Tango makes me look beautiful and happy. I had three teachers who taught me dance without paying them and it was very valuable because they spent their time to teach me without thinking about what they should have. And you are another person that I secretly thought that you are my teacher as well. Because I spend time learning from your videos every day. Thank you very much. You are my idol.
Thank you for the kind words. It means a lot to us when someone considers us their teacher (even though it's a secret😀😀) We're happy you found this dance and if you every have any questions or curious about anything please dont' hesitate to write us. ❤️❤️🙏🙏

Come to Sydney!
God know we would love to!!!!😀😀😀😀
Are you leading her to pivot with your right hand?
I am thinking a little bit more from the left hand. But when I say "more" I mean left hand 55% and right hand 45%. I try to make sure both are working together. Hope that helps and thanks for the question.😀😀
good patterns ❤
Glad you like them!😀

You two are the best teachers in countless channels I have seen. Where is your studio?
Thanks for the kind words. We teach in Studio22 which is located where we live, Dallas, Texas. And if there is ever something you are curious about, let us know. We are always interested in what people are tryinb to learn or have doubts about. 😀😀😀😀
Thank you. I always thought these ganchos are predetermined choreography in American tango. Now it is laid out to me that it can be led. This will ve awesome on rumba or nightclub 2step. Muchas gracias.
You're very welcome! And glad the videos have helped.😀😀😀😀
0:36 "It's easier when you do it a little bit smaller." Is it the size of our open steps or the angle and speed at which we step that controls how much pivot and how much time we allow for our partner's ochos? I'm thinking that, ideally, we'd like to frame our partner's pivot foot (i.e., our feet are on either side of theirs). This "surround" makes the pivot easier. Then, the time we allow for pivoting, plus the angle at which we step out after the pivot, controls how much pivot we get. Does this makes sense? Or is it the same idea just said differently?
Hi, I think we are talking about the same thing. But to clarify I think we will post a video about your question. Also makes us as teachers think about it, so thanks for that.😀😀
Great!! Gracias..
Glad you like it. Thanks for watching!!😀😀😀🙏🙏🙏
